Transformers

Transformers Adventures in Creativity was a three year, youth-led programme of creative skills development with the power to transform the lives of disadvantaged or vulnerable young people aged 11-19 yrs. The programme was launched in 2007 and ended in March 2010. The project was funded by the Big Lottery Fund and East Cambridgeshire District Council, it was managed and delivered by ADeC, in partnership with the Cambridgeshire Youth Service, Cambridgeshire Team for Traveller Education, youth clubs in Ely and Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Sports Development.

The program consisted of weekly workshops, projects and events. Through youth consultation, participants engaged in a range of cultural activities including dance, fashion, puppetry, music, performing & visual arts, film and photography. Many of the young people who took part in the Transformers Adventures in Creativity programme have successfully achieved their Arts Award. www.artsaward.org.uk
